CCFL's are similar to fluorescent but have a smaller diameter light tube and a more efficient discharge. CCFL's provide more lumens per watt (avg. 60 lpw) and are approximately 5X more efficient than standard incandescent. CCFL's can be easily dimmed and are available in a wide variety of colors.
